Resize an image to exact pixel dimensions
Enter the exact pixel width or height a website, store listing or profile avatar asks for. Aspect ratio stays locked so faces and products never stretch unless you unlock it.

How to use it
- Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image on your device.
- Type the target width or height in pixels, or pick a percentage scale such as 50% or 25%.
- Choose JPEG, PNG or WebP output and download your resized file.
Sharpness when shrinking large camera photos
Dropping a 4032 px phone photo straight to a 400 px profile picture in one pass can create jagged edges on hair, glasses and text. This tool steps large reductions down in progressive halves so edges stay crisp and clean.
Pixels versus kilobytes
Resizing sets the pixel grid (for example 1080 x 1080 px for social square posts or 1920 x 1080 px for slides). If an upload portal asks for a file under 50 KB or 100 KB rather than specific pixels, run the Image Compressor after or instead.
Clean output with no hidden camera tags
Your resized image is written locally from the browser canvas, so hidden EXIF tags, GPS coordinates and embedded camera previews are automatically left out of the downloaded file.
FAQ
Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The page reads your file in this browser tab and does the work on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab clears it. You can switch on airplane mode after the page loads and the tool still works.
Can I resize an image without losing quality?
Downscaling to smaller pixel dimensions keeps detail crisp because progressive halving blends pixels cleanly, and saving as PNG avoids lossy compression artifacts. Upscaling a tiny image to larger pixel dimensions cannot invent missing detail, so enlarged images look softer.
What happens if my target dimensions have a different shape?
Keep the aspect ratio locked and crop first with the Image Cropper so nothing stretches. Unlocking the aspect ratio forces the image into the exact width and height by stretching or squashing it.
Which output format should I choose after resizing?
Choose JPEG for everyday photos and upload forms, PNG for screenshots, logos or graphics with sharp text and transparency, and WebP for fast-loading website images.
Does resizing strip GPS and EXIF metadata?
Yes. The resized copy contains only the new pixels and carries over no GPS coordinates, timestamps or device identifiers.
